Coffee
made in China.
At Belt and Roast, we are learners first. We experiment, explore, and educate ourselves as much as we share with others. Our approach is guided by simple principles: listen widely, contribute what we can, and make sure the benefits flow back to those who deserve them most. We don't claim to have all the answers, we just believe that good things happen when people work together.
Our role is a modest one. We want to help more people notice Chinese coffee, the farmers who grow it, and the conditions that make their rapid development possible. From Yunnan's mountains and valleys, China produces wonderful coffees, but the families behind them rarely get the recognition they earn. We try to change that, not by talking over them, but by stepping back and letting their work speak. Every bean carries a story of place, patience, and daily effort, and we feel privileged simply to share it.
Our name is a nod to the Belt and Road Initiative, a larger vision of connection and exchange. We see ourselves as a small part of that spirit, linking rural growers with city drinkers, and local tradition with the wider coffee world. We are not builders of roads or ports. We are just roasters, trying to do right by the farmers we serve. Welcome to Belt and Roast, we're grateful you're here, and we're grateful for the hands that made it possible.
